Guildwood Village

Guildwood Village is a picturesque community in Toronto East nestled right on Lake Ontario. The Scarborough Bluffs, a massive memento of the ice age, extend 14 kilometres along Lake Ontario, towering 65 metres high.“The Scarborough Bluffs are an ecological treasure, and I am confident that the shoreline community treats these landscapes with the care and respect they deserve. “Let's all pitch in to keep the bluffs and shoreline clean and pristine, please!”

The quiet conservation crisis....

Every time I walk through parks and along our shores lines,
I find discarded bottles, coffee cups and plastic bags.
Do people not care about our environment ?
Or just love to  talk about it?
“We stand today poised on a pinnacle of wealth and power,
yet we live in a land of vanishing beauty, of increasing ugliness,
of shrinking open space and of an overall environment
that is diminished daily by pollution and noise and blight.
This, in brief, is the quiet conservation crisis.”
- Steve Udall

“Plans to protect air and water, wilderness and wildlife
are in fact plans to protect man.”
- Steve Udall

Thank you for comment...
People must take action to protect
our nature. If we destroy nature we destroy our self.

It is sad to see all the trash about every time I go to our parks or a hiking trail. I can't figure out if people are lazy or just don't care. I have always observed the motto to "leave nothing but footprints" when outdoors. I wish others would.
